Zero growth in melamine demand and serious imbalance between supply and demand
at present, the world melamine market continues to grow at a rate of 5% - 6%. The growth of global melamine consumption is mainly due to the general improvement of quality of life and the improvement of environmental protection standards. In addition to the traditional decorative boards, melamine tableware, coatings, textile finishing agents and other application fields, the development of new application fields such as high-efficiency cement water reducer, melamine flame retardant, melamine foam plastic, melamine synthetic fiber and so on will also further expand the capacity of the melamine market from a technical point of view, mainly considering the following five 2036-t4 aspects
in previous years, China was one of the countries with the fastest growth in melamine demand in the world. In 2009, the demand increased by nearly 30%. The application of rubber spring fatigue testing machine in the field of vibrating screen. In the past two years, the annual demand for melamine in China has almost zero growth. However, the pace of capacity expansion has not stopped. At present, the supply and demand of melamine in China has been seriously unbalanced, and the application consumption is still mainly limited to traditional fields, far behind the production growth rate. The contradiction between supply and demand of melamine is mainly manifested in the following three points:
overcapacity intensifies market competition. By the end of 2011, the global production capacity of melamine was about 2.5 million tons/year, and the installation capacity of China was 1.35 million tons/year. In 2011, the total global demand for melamine was about 1.4 million tons, and the demand in China was about 540000 tons
The problem of overcapacity has become very prominent. However, in this case, a large number of new devices are still put into production in various parts of the country. The units that have been put into operation this year include 50000 tons of Honghu Yinzhu technology, 30000 tons of Chongqing Jianfeng, 50000 tons of Shandong Shuntian, 30000 tons of Hebei Xinji Jiuyuan chemical industry and 80000 tons of Luxi Chemical Industry. In addition, the 100000 ton melamine project of Sanmu group has been started and laid the foundation in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia this year. It is expected that nearly 300000 tons of melamine plants in China will be put into operation in 2013. At present, when the melamine market is very depressed, the production of these devices will inevitably set off a price war, which will make it difficult for the melamine market to improvedomestic demand is narrow and small. Domestic melamine is mainly used in the processing of laminates, coatings, papermaking, textiles, leather and molding plastics. The largest consumption area is laminate, which accounts for more than 50% of the total domestic consumption. The demand for laminates mainly depends on the rise and fall of the real estate market
in recent years, the policy effect of national regulation and control of the real estate market has gradually appeared, and the trading price, trading volume and the growth rate of new housing construction area have decreased significantly. If such reasons are excluded, the unwavering determination of the central government to regulate the real estate market this year indicates that the downturn in the real estate market will continue, which will significantly reduce the demand for decorative materials such as laminates and furniture, and then reduce the demand for melamine in this field
as for other consumption fields such as coatings, papermaking, textiles, leather, molding plastics, etc., affected by the macro-economic slowdown and other environmental impacts, the growth this year is very limited, and the demand for melamine is difficult to effectively expand, and may even shrink
export obstruction intensifies the contradiction between supply and demand. China is currently the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of melamine. About 20% of melamine is exported every year, mainly to Europe, America, Asia, Oceania and other regions. The global economic downturn has reduced the demand for melamine. In addition, the EU has imposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese melamine products, and the export volume of Chinese enterprises to the European market has decreased sharply. According to the customs data, the export volume of melamine from January to October 2012 decreased by 35.6% compared with the same period of the previous year. The domestic surplus melamine products are difficult to be adjusted and digested through the international market as in previous years, which exacerbates the contradiction of oversupply in the domestic market
with the release of new capacity, the contradiction of overcapacity will further intensify, which will have a great impact on the market. Especially in the current situation of declining international economy, sluggish exports, tightening domestic real estate regulation policies, and sluggish downstream market demand, the market price of melamine has been falling all the way, and it is difficult to have a greater performance in the later stage. However, since its current price is already below the cost line, it is unlikely to continue to fall sharply in the later stage. If melamine is to have a good performance in the next few years, the most effective way is to increase the R & D and production of downstream products and promote consumption growth
